I started studying at the Metropolitana when I was five and left when I was twenty-four. This piece portrays the countless good moments and the less good ones from that stage of my life. Throughout this work, one can hear, without them ever becoming motivic or dominant, small reminiscences of works by Brahms, Roussel, Bartók, Debussy, Beethoven, Shostakovich, and Ravel. I performed all these works as a violinist in the Orquestra Académica Metropolitana, and they were carefully selected because they profoundly impacted me.

This piece is a thank you for the moments I experienced and for what I learned as a member of this orchestra.
