“Povo Sem Gente” is a play that travels between the past and present of Portuguese students. It addresses the struggle of those who moved and faced the streets and the attitude of those who today prefer to stay at home. It explores what was forbidden and what no longer is, the censorship that, although different, persists, and what it means to be a student and the role of education. It reflects on what we take for granted and shouldn't, on forgetfulness, the pressure to grow up and become someone in the future. Fundamentally, it is about people who avoid thinking collectively, and in no circumstance, about memorizing dates and measures only to forget them later.
